Professor Miguel Lagos speaks at a workshop on precipitation extremes and climate change
Miguel Lagos presented his research on extreme convective events in the subtropical Andes at the workshop "Water Vapor and Precipitation Extremes in the Context of Global Warming", organized by UAI.

Congratulations to Professor Miguel Lagos Zúñiga on his participation in the workshop "Water Vapor and Precipitation Extremes in the Context of Global Warming", held on Friday, March 13.

He gave the talk "Meteorological assessment of a mountainous convective precipitation event triggering debris flows in the subtropical Andes."
The meeting brought together researchers who study atmospheric water vapor and extreme precipitation in the context of climate change, and addressed how to understand and manage hydrometeorological risk.
Other participants included Cristián Martínez-Villalobos (UAI), Dipjyoti Mudiar (UAI), Roberto Rondanelli (UCH), Raúl Valenzuela (UOH) and Yi-Xian Li (Monash University).
The event was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
