Diploma in Flood Hazard Modeling and Assessment under Climate Change
A program for modeling, assessing and managing flood hazards under climate change.

The diploma provides tools for modeling, assessing and managing flood hazards under climate change. It is taught in Spanish.
Why this diploma
Chile is one of the territories most exposed to floods and extreme hydrometeorological events. Climate change is making these hazards more frequent and more intense, so specialists who can analyze data, simulate scenarios and support decisions are needed.
The diploma provides the technical skills to meet these challenges, with an applied, interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach.
Program goal
The diploma trains professionals to analyze hydrometeorological phenomena, model floods and assess risk scenarios with numerical simulation tools. Through live online classes, practical workshops, applied work and simulations, participants build the skills to support decisions in risk management, land use planning and infrastructure design.
